This is more research towards my animation.
I love things like this (they make me smile, they inspire me) and hope to further my research
and development over the summer and in
university to start creating in this kinda style they have animated in.
I think these kinda things are simple and get the point across especially the extra wringles
advert bad breathe lol
In my own personal opinion i think these adverts are just so effective towards the audience.
Just simple things the Pixar advert with the birds is good, but when you really listen to it the
birds sound just like an annoying dog chew which your shout at your own dog to shut up
but with something cute and watchable like the birds it is percieved completely different.

It is the same with the Up advert just coloured balloons but the colours attract so
easily to the wondering eye (I also enjoyed the film too).
You don't exactly expect to see all those balloons carrying a HOUSE tbh.
It is the Pixar that inspire me the most of what you can exactly do with your mind and the
technology when you put both together and then you make such wonderful creations.

The Orange & Wrigley's adverts are the more realistic one's to me at this present moment,
knowing that I can create something very similar to them.
The bottom orange advert is sorta walk through of what orange is actually selling
but also you can see a different detailing of material use compared to the other,
this seems more advanced to me.
Im positive that they have used 3D Studio Max for the modelling of the objects and possibly
Flash for the movement of the mouths perhaps.

i think its a very clever way to use your hands in the stop motion and moving the actual image
i hope to dabble more in the summer when i finish & hopefully post it on here to show.

whereas the other 2 are a bit more advanced but that takes pratise

just do u wana get crazy and the strips are just colour detail and the other is just full of words thats about getting crazy all mixed together bcuz wen u do go crazy (incorperate crazy however u want its ur perspective of what u think crazy is) u dont think straight or clearly really do u...???

Ignore the video themselves.

I was attracted to these because of their music i liked the back beat of them their different and I have been a fan of Christina Aguilera for a long time, i really liked her Stripped album which was a very personal album to her but could connect to so many people out there with what they have been through in their lives.

She is bringing out a new album Bionic which is out in June I think, so Ill b checkin that to see what she has produced.

again just browsing through the amazing internet itself but i came across this image and im always being told to believe in myself more and all that blah blah lol (its not blah i do listen lol xD)
about a year ago tho i came across john mayer's album Continuum and a song that really stood out to me was belief its a deep song if ur 1 to listen to the lyrics..

just a few designs and website i clicked onto and got really interested in soooo hehe i like the designs inspiration encouragement to myself that i could create and do the things, the images all over the internet myself, it could be silly yeah but it could happen - be an optismt, believe (like the song john mayer belief if any of u have heard it) think of the realism of showing off ur worl across the world 0_o lol XD

as i watch E4 alot and see all these different estings on the telly and they just gave me inspiration and ideas of what i could do for mine quirky ideas thats what i like...

Finally THE idea (I've been trying to get across)

lucy found this for me and thought it would be good as inspiration for my FMP.

I really like it and I feel it is very related to what I WANT to do for my FMP and also HOW I want it to portray to people.

This is the kinda thing I want... WOOP!!!! XD FANKOOOO LUCY (& also the creators - Animated by Julia Pott. Music & sound design by Christopher Frost.)

But I'm doing my own experience and what I am NOT saying is that THIS IS love or THIS IS fear, I am just merely explaining what's happened through little drawings of my own, graphic designs, music related and my own animations.

The beginning of my Animation - Doodles

These are jusy some basic ideas ive had for my animation - all these different shapes and objects running wild on the screen expressing all different kinds of emotions mainly focusing on love + fear.
I thought I would use dominos too because they can be associated with chance, numbers - numbers are a game of chance thats what I think - you watched these programs like the real hustle, also the hustle, poker programmes, gambling games on the internet e.t.c its all a game of chance until you know how to feature it out before you get caught for featuring it out. Do you do it for the risk or just for fun or for how many numbers you can get??
I know numbers havent really got a true meaning into my FMP but I would like to link it in someway or another because I find numbology fasinating how something can connect and add to something else and then follow back to the first thing you looked at. The film Number 13 (bit of a mind f**k lol) but it gets you thinking "mmm is that true?" "Should i try it?" you dont dare try it because you dont want to be like the person in the film?

Anyway.....

Create the dominos in 3D using box model, then boolean the dots or hearts into it...Just some simple and basic shapes to begin with as I am not very good 3D.
Heart ideas and shapes i got the influence of the heart shape off the packets of playing cards. Simple with a bit of style...

These shapes and objects are getting a bit more detailed as I thgouth of what shapes I could use within the animation. The ice cream is a favourite of mine =] the balloon and the stereo are good ways to show characteristics of emotions especially for love and fear.

Well take one of Banksy's art work with the little girl & her balloon and she loses it and watches it fly higher and higher into the air - lost her love/losing her love/ never know what you got till its gone that kind of thing. It happens quite a lot in real life I guess Banksy made it into an art of what we can lose when it slips out of your hands if you dont hold tight.


The stereo is connected to music because I know when Im sad or happy well I listen to music whenever really but my point is you tend to listen to music and certain music depending on your emotions or mood because it reflects what your thinking or feeling, so to speak. And this is what I want to present in my animation not by different musics but by different emotions by using different noises/sound effects that could possibly go with the shapes that represent love + fear.

Just some photography - Bus Stop Shelter

I just wanted to experiement with what was already around me i did see a clip at one of my university interviews a guy did some filming and filed himself within a box set frame. The tutor mentioned that in London that most of the bus shelters and bill boards are moving graphics now so i took that advise and turned it into my own for the film title motion graphic project. I havent got the finally piece yet but will up load as soon as. I used 30 seconds to mars - beautiful lie as the background music.

I wanted to keep it dark and mysterious with that sense of engima around the whole film title itself as you the audience dont know what is going to happen. It links well with having an adventure because sometimes you dont know where you are going at times, do you? Thats what i wanted to portray in this poject we were given and with using very little colour is rare for me!!!! lol

Search & Destroy

I think im just having a 30seconds to mars moment lol naaahh i do like their music its the indie pop rock sorta all combined into 1 shall i say lol
This song has meaning - sometimes you are searching for something and you dont even realise it and then would you do and all you know for searching, it's destroyed by what you've found it is not what you thought it would be your belief and thoughts are just destroyed and stoled from you without realising.
Like as you grow older you found out certain things you can only learn by growing such as friends and the things they do, boyfriends, girlfriends etc to learn as you grow older if only i knew what i know now when i was younger but then you wouldnt have done them to begin with to have mistakes to have learned from. You only learn from your mistakes and also others mistakes and it is only you that can change the outcome of the mistake and what you learn from it.
I think this can link and tie in with my FMP because you love and learn from your past lovers and know you'll never go for someone similar to your ex..? Fear you learn what you are afraid of and avoid every possible aspect of coming in contact with it. A learning process.

I am just really liking their music atm their new album...
The music the back beat just the flow of the music in general im just really connected to it and its very inspiring for me and it relaxing. It makes you think "Would you kill to say save your like Would you kill to prove your right..?" Something you are so passionate about, your work for example would you im just speaking from the song a little bit now as im listening to it... ^.^

To me it basically contradicts itself by those words - I hear this song a lot on the radio whenever I do walk into a room anytime, anyplace, anywhere it freaks me out a little as if it is trying to tell me something? o_0
So furthermore into my FMP I would like to figure this song out to me what it means if I can.

Bubble Diagram - Love

This is just a mind map of love and hate (yup the same 1 as on my last blog but this is just a reminder to myself as well) and how they expand into everything else which is connected to our daily life... for example love can be sacrifice, we could associate sacrifice with religion where you sacrifice certain elements within your life to become a Jew or a Christian that kinda of thing, but you also can do this for love where you just sacrifice everything and sometimes everyone to be with that one person you love?

This is just the starting point merely and i will be adding more as i go through my FMP.

Inverted

This is all or most of the work I have designed and as you can they are all INVERTED.
Why? Well why not, no thats not the real answer, I wanted to see the work I created in a different view. Yes I know I could have used different colours and different styled fonts etc... but I decided to invert the designs and see if it still has the same effect as I created with the colours before. I do think that some of the designs speak for themselves, but I think alot of them give a completely feel from the originals below.
With the use of colours it's crazy how they can make such a difference to a piece of design work.

With this piece of photography and photoshop this piece now looks like there is a storm about to occur.

This design above now looks to me the sea because the blue colouring and winds has effected it and the photoshop brushes on the top look like snow in a way.
But that is my point of view.

Also this 1 now seems like a darker love then the bright bold i created it to be. I like blue myself relaxing colour calms the mind but mixed with black and white to me it gives a completely different view far from calm and relaxing more of a mysterious enigma approach to what love is...

My Creations!!

I know that these last 2 pieces of work are basically the same but look at the font in both of these designs - i personally think the IMPACT font is the strongest as the ARIAL font didnt quite fit the size of the design so it didnt work as well as the IMPACT but i was just experimenting as i have been told to experiment with font styles when creating typography.
